HR Studio
One agent, the whole HRBP toolkit — job grading, benefits Q&A, sensitive-case prep, and read-only Workday — and AISE’s first build on the new skills-based experience.
The story, in brief.
HR Studio gives MillerKnoll HR Business Partners one agent for the work that used to mean six — job grading, benefits Q&A, sensitive-case prep, JD coaching, and read-only Workday data. It’s also AISE’s first build on Copilot Studio’s new skills-based experience: new enough that the team had to reverse-engineer how the platform even saves to disk.
How it’s built.
The predecessor: a classic Copilot Studio orchestrator that delegated to separate child agents and prompt tools — one each for JD signal extraction, role grading, JD coaching, benefits, case prep, and a Workday connector. Because Copilot Studio agents cannot migrate between experiences, this whole shape had to be rebuilt, not ported.
Steps through 2 generations — from Classic to New experience.
What AI actually does here.
Reverse-engineering with the tooling
Rather than wait for docs, AISE used the tooling against itself — repeatedly cloning the deployed agent after each change and diffing the artifacts to empirically chart how the new experience serializes to disk.
The .zip gotcha
A skill uploaded as a .zip silently loses its instructions at runtime — the model sees only the name and description. Only a bare SKILL.md inlines the methodology. Nothing documented it; it showed up only in the live agent’s answers.
Findings → a reusable build guide
The hard-won format knowledge became AISE’s internal new-experience build guide — the reusable-components philosophy applied to platform knowledge itself, so the next build starts from a working reference.
